This Privacy Policy explains how Empire Detailing collects, uses, shares, and protects information when customers use the Empire Detailing mobile app, website, booking tools, rewards features, and related services powered by Sidekick Insights.
Information We Collect
We collect information needed to provide bookings, customer support, scheduling, rewards, and account access.
- Account and sign-in information: email address, provider account identifiers, and sign-in details received from supported providers such as Apple or Google.
- Customer profile information: first name, last name, contact email, phone number, and related profile details you choose to provide.
- Vehicle information: vehicle type, make, model, custom model entries, and details needed to estimate or complete a service.
- Booking information: selected services, dates, times, status, assigned staff, cancellation requests, reschedule requests, service changes, completed services, rewards activity, and appointment history.
- Device permissions: push notification tokens and calendar event identifiers when you allow notifications or local calendar sync.
- Technical and security information: app version, device or browser information, authentication/session data, error logs, and activity needed to protect and troubleshoot the service.
How We Use Information
- Provide account access and verify authorized sign-ins.
- Match customer app accounts to booking and customer records.
- Create, update, reschedule, cancel, and manage appointments.
- Show upcoming bookings, booking history, and rewards progress.
- Send operational notifications such as appointment updates, same-day change status, reminders, and service-related messages.
- Support staff scheduling, customer service, and shop operations.
- Detect abuse, protect accounts, debug issues, and improve reliability.
- Meet legal, accounting, tax, and business record obligations.
Calendar and Notifications
If you grant calendar permission, the app may create, update, or remove Empire Detailing appointment events on your device calendar. These calendar events are stored on your device. The app uses calendar access to keep Empire Detailing appointment events in sync and does not use unrelated calendar entries for advertising.
If you grant notification permission, we may send service-related push notifications. You can turn off notifications or calendar access at any time in your device settings.
How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information and we do not use customer data for third-party advertising. We may share information only as needed to operate the service.
- With Empire Detailing staff and authorized administrators who need it to manage bookings, customer service, and shop operations.
- With service providers that help run authentication, hosting, databases, notifications, analytics, security, and support.
- With Apple, Google, or other sign-in providers when you choose to use those providers for account access.
- When required to comply with law, protect rights and safety, prevent fraud, or respond to valid legal requests.
Retention
We keep customer, booking, rewards, and operational records for as long as needed to provide services, maintain appointment history, support customer requests, meet business record requirements, and comply with legal or accounting obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it where practical.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted transport, OAuth-based sign-in, access controls, and administrative permission checks. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we work to limit access to people and providers who need it to operate the service.
Your Choices
- You may update profile and contact details in the app.
- You may disable calendar or notification permissions in your device settings.
- You may sign out of the app at any time.
- You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information, subject to legal and operational record requirements.
Children
The service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
International Processing
Information may be processed or stored in Canada, the United States, or other locations where our service providers operate. By using the service, you understand that information may be transferred to and processed in these locations.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will update the effective date and provide notice where required by law.
